Vance Slams Our Allies and Downplays Our Enemies | Munich, Germany Feb. 14, 2025 - At the Munich Security Conference, Vice President Vance insulted our allies by telling them that their biggest threat to security was from within, rather than from Russia or China. He compared a young girl ecological activist to a man who, unelected and without any real authority, has been tearing down our government and shaming us in the world. Vance said, "If American democracy can survive 10 years of Greta Thunberg scolding, you guys can survive a few months of Elon Musk".
According to reports, Vance met with Zelensky, but both declined to give details of what was discussed in Munich. The Ukrainian President did remind reporters that his country needs real security guarantees. Vance had said weeks earlier that we must, "accept Ukraine is going to have to ceded some territory to the Russians.", suggesting that it is important to award Putin for his aggression in order to gain peace. Those who do not remember history are doomed to repeat it. Remember Neville Chamberlain accepting the Anschluss as Germany absorbed Austria and Czechoslovakia, only to have to finally face war with Hitler after Poland.
German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock warned against any attempt by the United States to impose a peace deal on Ukraine. "A sham peace, over the heads of Ukrainians and Europeans, would gain nothing," she said. "A sham peace would not bring lasting security, neither for the people in Ukraine nor for us in Europe or the United States."
Commentary
Trump and Vance have literally gone over to the Russian side of things, spouting a lot of Russian propaganda that has proven to be untrue when fact checked, such as Trump's insistence that Ukraine started the war. Americans need to stand up to these traitors now, before it is too late. Trump is eyeing doing business again with Russia, despite the fact that doing so feeds his coffers for further ambitions against Europe. Is it going to take Russia attacking a NATO country before Americans wake up and realize you cannot win by appeasing a bully like Putin. Give him an inch and he will take a mile. This was proven when the Obama administration ignored Putin's invasion and taking of Crimean in 2014. You have to remember, the conflict did not just start in 2022 on Biden's watch, like Trump would have you believe. It started in 2014 with the attack against Crimea. We appeased Putin then, so eight years later, he decided to go after the whole country. Biden started providing Ukraine the assistance it needed to defend itself, and Putin has now been bogged down in a Korean style slugfest and suffers from a destroyed economy due to sanctions put on it by American and the West. Appeasement did not work for Hitler and it will not work for Putin. Let Trump and your congressman know what you feel about letting Putin take over a sovereign nation by sending a letter of protest. Tell the president to quit being friendly to our enemies and tell your congressmen that you wish they would grow a backbone and stand up to the president when call him on his traitorous words. Yeah, use a stamp. Send a letter. You remember how to do that? Europe and possibly Taiwan are at stake, so do this before Putin, Kim Jung Un, and Xi Jinping are more emboldened. "Arise, for it is your task, and we are with you; be strong and do it." Ezra 10:4 ESV
